We’ve even heard from South Africans abroad exploring a move back — a reminder that what we’re building speaks to a wider hope. We are energised by this response and excited to keep walking this journey with our community.
This momentum affirms what we already suspected: the need for additional quality, values-based schooling on the North Coast is both real and urgent.
We are not building in isolation. Recent reports have highlighted how Sheffield and Salt Rock are developing rapidly. A new 240 000 m² mixed-use development of retail, medical, and office space is planned right next to the Seaton House campus. An N2 interchange, already under construction and set to be completed by April 2026, will connect families and businesses with ease. Together, these projects show the pace of growth in an area forecast to welcome 3 000 new families within a 5 km radius.
Against this backdrop, Seaton House is taking root as a school designed for the community, not for profit. In January 2027, we will welcome our first 400–500 learners across Early Childhood Development (Grades 0000–R), junior primary, senior primary, and high school (Grades 8–9). Over time, we will grow into a full co-educational school serving learners from Grade 0000 through Grade 12.
Our purpose remains clear:
🐋 Principles before profit. We are a non-profit, reinvesting all surplus back into the school and its mission.
🐋 Community before prestige. Seaton House is not about status; it’s about values, belonging, and equipping learners to thrive in a changing world.
🐋 Partnerships for impact. Through our collaboration with Khanyisa Inanda Seminary Community Projects (KICP), we will strengthen not just our own learners, but surrounding schools and teachers.
The strong early interest confirms both the timing and the need.
The demand underscores the vision behind Seaton House. We recognise that building a school of this scale and purpose is a collective effort.
We welcome partners who share our vision – whether as donors, investors, or community champions, to help build a lasting legacy of education on the North Coast.
Seaton House opens in 2027. The story is just beginning.
